Before AITM can handle your first task it needs to know which AI to use. Two steps are enough.

Onboarding: Choose Your AI

Step 1: Choose the default AI

Open Settings → AI models and pick the default provider and model. A default is required because every internal AI call in AITM uses it. No provider is preselected or recommended — choose the one you have access to.

Step 2: Enter an API key or sign in

What you provide depends on the provider you chose:

• OpenAI, DeepSeek, Gemini: paste the API key from the provider.
• Claude: sign in to your Claude account or have an active subscription.
• Ollama: enter the base URL of your Ollama instance.

Then press Test. When everything works, AITM shows a successful connection test result; on an error, check the key, the sign-in or the URL and try again.
